A Guide to Make Waxing A Lot Easier/ Less Painful

Waxing every other week can be cumbersome, especially in the summer when like to dress in nice summer clothes. From the discomfort you feel to redness and pimples that appear after waxing, here is a guide to removing hair without pain and maintaining healthy and glowing skin.

Waxing at home can be affordable, but it’s necessary to take precautions to keep your skin healthy, shiny and pain-free.

Avoid waxing if:

  • Your skin is sunburnt.
  • You’ve administered isotretinoin containing medicines/products in the last six months.1
  • If you have cuts or injuries in your skin.1

Before waxing

Preparing your skin for waxing is essential in order to reduce much of the hustle.

Protect your Skin

Avoid using retinoid creams for at least 3-4 weeks before waxing. Retinoid creams are known to induce skin turn over allowing new skin growth. Waxing while taking these medications can cause tearing of the skin and possible scarring.1

Make sure your hair is about one-fourth of an inch long to reduce pain and avoid injury.

Reduce pain

Apply cold packs 30 minutes before hair removal.
